Registration Process

Delegates are requested to apply for registration. Delegates will be admitted to the conference once full payment has been received and verified in the LIASA bank account.
It is the responsibility of delegates to ensure that the conference organisers have received their payment and that it is correctly allocated according to the instructions set out in "Payments to LIASA".

One-day Registrations

These rates include attendance of one of the four Conference days (29 September until 2 October), including lunch, refreshments and conference bags.

Registration Fee Benefit Package

The registration fee covers access to conference plenary meetings and parallel sessions, the opening ceremony & function, conference dinner, teas, lunches, exhibitions and a delegate bag for the first 800 registered delegates with conference documentation. Transport to and from the selected guesthouses and the conference venue is also included.
The registration fee excludes all airport transfers, parking and accommodation.

Meals

Delegates will be given tags with different colours to be used at meal times for the duration of the conference. You will be requested to keep the tags safe so as to hand them over whenever requested to do so.

Parking

Parking is available on campus for all delegates.

Travel & Transfers/Shuttles

All transfers from the airport to accomodation establishments and back as well as daily transfers are organised by Astra Travel.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations for Delegate Registration received in writing before 28 August 2009 will receive a 40% refund.
  • Cancellations received after 28 August 2009 will unfortunately not be refunded.
  • Invoices issued for all bookings not cancelled prior to 28 August 2009 will be deemed payable.
  • Delegates will be charged for invoices issued in case of non-arrival and failure to cancel prior to 28 August 2009. No refunds will be payable for cancelled transport or social functions.

Payments to LIASA

Proof of payment MUST be submitted either by faxing it to 051 406 1795 or e-mailing conference2009@liasa.org.za. Cheques should be made payable to LIASA Conference Account. An invoice will be issued after application of registration is submitted, in which case payment must be received within 30 days after date of invoice. Bank details are as follows:

If the payment is for more than one delegate, please indicate on the proof of payment or an attached letter the reference numbers and names of the delegates, as well as the amount allocated per delegate.

A copy of the deposit slip or proof of payment should be faxed to: 051 406 1795. You may also e-mail it to the conference organisers.

Very important: Please indicate the last 10 numbers of your reference number on your invoice (i.e. 00001-12345-00067) as the reference on your deposit slip or electronic payment, as well as the first 5 letters of your surname, and the first two initials of your names.

Cheques should be made payable to LIASA Conference Account.
If the proof of payment with the correct reference details is not received within 30 days, the application will be automatically declined. Delegates will then need to apply again by completing the application for registration process.

The Conference Organisers and its subcontractors do not accept responsibility for damage and/or loss of any kind which may be incurred by conference attendees or any persons accompanying them.

Speakers’ comments during the conference are in no way binding on the organizers.

Terms and conditions

  • This Registration form is binding.
  • The person who signs the form is liable for payment of the total fee
  • Admission to the LIASA Conference will ONLY be granted to delegates who have paid the total registration fee according to the instructions indicated under Payment.
  • On receipt of the registration form an invoice will be sent to each delegate.
  • Registration fees do not include any personal travel insurance.
  • It is strongly recommended that, when registering for the conference and arranging your travel itinerary, you are covered by a personal insurance policy to cover loss, cancellation, medical cover, etc.
  • The conference organizers do not take responsibility for any delegate failing to insure him or herself.
  • No government orders will be accepted.
  • The conference organizers reserve the right to alter the programme within reasonable limits as long as it is in the best interest of the conference and they will not be held accountable for these changes.
  • Right of admission is reserved.
